During the Second World War a London Film Company is commissioned to make an upbeat film to life the populations morale. They need the film to have a ‘feminine touch’ so they include a woman in the extravagant group of scriptwriters. Step forward Catrin Cole, a young secretary who goes on to inspire an entire nation.

Catrin Cole (Gemma Arterton) is tasked to reach the hearts and minds of women who had increasingly become so vital working back home while the men were away at war.
