La Fiesta del Cine returns to CineCiutat this autumn. From 19 to 22 October, all tickets are €3.50.

It arrives with two premieres. Naza, the documentary on Gaza by Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, the directors of No Other Land, which won the Special Jury Prize in Venice. And The Invite, Olivia Wilde’s remake of Cesc Gay’s Sentimental, with Seth Rogen, Penélope Cruz and Edward Norton at a dinner between neighbours that slowly goes off the rails.

Still showing is La bola negra, the collective frenzy in which Los Javis complete the play Lorca left unfinished. There is also Digger, Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s comedy starring an unrecognisable Tom Cruise, and Verity, Michael Showalter’s thriller with Anne Hathaway and Dakota Johnson. Then there’s The Social Reckoning, with Aaron Sorkin returning to Facebook sixteen years after The Social Network, and Ceniza en la boca, Diego Luna’s adaptation of Brenda Navarro’s novel, set between Mexico and Spain.
And for the brave, Her Private Hell: the Nicolas Winding Refn film that divided Cannes.
