The opening night of ELLA Festival belongs to the voice of Daba Seye, a Senegalese singer of griot heritage, live on stage with her band. It is just the opening note of a week in which Palma brings together lesbian, bisexual, trans and queer women from more than 40 countries, in one of the most important international gatherings for their community.

ELLA Festival reaches its tenth edition with a programme that blends live music, talks, film, wellness, sport, excursions, food and parties, organised by ELLA Global Community, a non-profit dedicated to the visibility and empowerment of queer women and non-binary people around the world.

As part of the week, CineCiutat has its own date on the calendar: on 1 September, a screening of Miss Carbón followed by a Q&A with actress Simone Mercado.
