Special screening of “Les imatges arribaren a temps” by Jaume Carrió, a short film nominated for the 2026 Goya Awards
Activity organised by @palmacultura and @palma.2031
in collaboration with @cineciutat
There are images that do not just arrive on time: they arrive when they are meant to. On January 2nd we will screen “Les imatges arribaren a temps”, the short film by Jaume Carrió, followed by a discussion. Because when cinema is local and speaks with its own voice, it calls for conversation.
At the City Council of Palma and at CineCiutat, we believe that giving a platform to local creators is not an exception, but the starting point. With conviction. With pride. With consistency.
Jaume Carrió knows what it is like to step onto the stage to receive a Goya Award: he did so in 2018 and this year he is a candidate once again. When that happens, we do not look the other way: we return to what we do best. Accompanying, supporting, and turning on the projector.
The screening will be followed by a talk moderated by Javier Pueyo, Cultural Officer at the City Council of Palma, with the presence of the director himself and producer Joan Bover (Far Visuals).
