Today we premiere Sîrat, one of the great surprises of Spanish cinema so far this year. After its triumphant screening at Cannes and winning the Jury Prize, Oliver Laxe's film is now available on many screens across the country.
As our mission at CineCiutat is to ensure that the best cinema reaches the widest possible audience, we have decided to schedule several Sîrat screenings subtitled in English. During the film, several languages are spoken; the Spanish version is subtitled in the language of Cervantes, but the screenings we will do for our foreign friends will be in the language of Shakespeare. We ask you to take this information into account when purchasing your ticket.
