At CineCiutat we are committed with Balearic creators to make it easier for their work to be seen on the big screen. The first premiere of 2024 in this sense will be Trenc d'Alba, directed by the Catalan-born Anna Llargués and edited by the Mallorcan-born Aina Martos Mas.
The short film tells the story of how, while his family tries to save a family farmhouse, Elián, the eldest teenage son, and his sister Irene begins a journey of memories and discoveries through their grandfather's hobby: Super-8 recordings.
After having been selected in the official La Cinef section of the Cannes Festival and receiving the special mention Espiga Verde at the Seminci in Valladolid, Trenc d'Alba will be screened at CineCiutat on 12th January at 7.30 pm with free admission.
