At CineCiutat we don't stop and we inform you that, as we have been warning you (then don't say), it's time to present the April cycle.
In this month when the good weather is going, yes, no, we will deal with an equally ambiguous subject, but infinitely interesting: journalism.
This cycle is called Programmed by ... The Union of Journalists of the Balearic Islands (SPIB).
Every Thursday of this month, a member of the SPIB will choose a film related to journalism and will make a presentation of it.
The starting gun will be given by Urko Urbieta, general secretary of the SPIB, who will come to present Deadline - U.S.A (Richard Brooks), which he says is "a plea in favor of the ethics of communication and against official journalists":
When 'New York Day' is about to be sold by its owners, Ed Hutcheson, the editor of the newspaper, decides to expose the shady deals of a major mob boss.
The session will be on Thursday 04-08-2021 at 7:45 p.m.
Tickets will be priced at € 6 for Ordinary and € 4 for CineCiutat and SPIB members. You can reserve them in the following link.
Likewise, we inform you that all those members of the SPIB have a 30% discount on the CineCiutat membership fee.
