Two Lovers is a cross story about Farhaz, a wealthy Muslim chef from Dhaka, and Basundhara, a Hindu Brahmin home cook from Calcutta. They are united by the only thing they have in common: their passion for food and cooking. But when Farhaz tries to get closer to Basundhara, she rejects him. Farhaz gradually befriends his father and brother and embarks on a journey that changes his own worldview and his own life. The film explores how love and humanism triumph over anything else and that religion plays a unifying role in our lives. Two Lovers is also a celebration of food and cooking - cooking as an art and an emotional and human act that can touch hearts.
