France, 1942. Gilles is arrested by SS soldiers along with other Jews and sent to a concentration camp in Germany. There he manages to avoid execution by swearing to the guards that he is not a Jew, but a Persian. Thanks to this ruse, Gilles manages to stay alive, but he will have to teach a language that he does not know to one of the field officers, interested in learning it.
