Claire and Yves are a couple of engineers in the French nuclear industry. After visiting the National Gallery, Claire develops a strange emotional connection to Rembrandt's paintings and begins to question the safety of EPR reactors. Yves no longer understands the woman with whom he has shared his personal and professional life for over 20 years, but, like her, he senses a vague and prophetic premonition of impending disaster.
