Emily' tells the imagined life of one of the world's most famous authors, Emily Brontë. The young woman, who died at the early age of 30, was a rebel and misfit of her time and would find her voice in writing the literary classic 'Wuthering Heights'. The film explores the relationships that inspired her, both with her sisters Charlotte and Anne and with her ill-fated first love, as well as the special friendship and complicity that united her with her nonconformist brother Branwell, whom Emily idolized.
