In the early 1980s, in the Chilean desert, eleven-year-old Lidia grows up in a loving queer family on the edge of a dingy, dusty mining town. They are blamed for a mysterious disease that is beginning to spread, said to be transmitted through a single glance when one man falls in love with another. In this modern western, Lidia leads a quest for revenge, confronting violence, fear, and hatred, where family is her only refuge and love may be the true danger.
