Hajar fights for her self-determination in a male-dominated Iran. Archive footage from 1976 shows her as an eight-year-old part of the traditions of the Bakhtiari tribe. But after being betrayed by her family, she is forced to abandon her nomadic life. The film shows how climate change, modernization and social changes have altered the migratory lifestyle of the tribe where she was born.
