A few years ago no one knew it and today it is suspected that she was the first sound film director in Spain. María *Forteza and her film "Mallorca" made history and it is time to tell it.

Who was this pioneer in the beginnings of sound cinema? So far, no one has heard of her. His grandson, Miguel Ángel, embarks on a personal and creative journey with the aim of reconstructing the life of his grandmother in Mallorca, Barcelona and his exile in Portugal after the Civil War. During her search, she discovers that María Forteza was a zarzuela and cuplet singer, but also threatens with her voice the silent film screenings, which began to proliferate in those days. The show business accompanied the cinema until the advent of sound, and María Forteza was an intimate part of both.
