Santiago Balmes, a renowned writer and academic, gathers his three children before Christmas to make a request: that they spend a few days together at the coastal house where they used to vacation during their childhood. For the siblings—who have been estranged from their father ever since he left the family years ago for another woman—the invitation becomes an opportunity to confront old wounds and try to understand who their father really is. This is especially true for Alberto, the youngest son, who is about to become a father for the first time.
